Will I be able to get Housing Support?
Below we have listed some examples of when HomeStay may be able to provide housing support.
- A young person 16-17 years old leaving care for the first time
- A person who has rent or mortgage arrears and other debt problems
- A person who is homeless through relationship breakdown, domestic violence, being evicted from your home; etc
- A person staying in temporary accommodation, with family and friends; etc
- A person moving into their own home from supported accommodation who needs housing support to help them to set up utilities, settle in; etc
- A person moving into their home from an institution, such as a prison or hospital who needs housing support to settle back into the community
- A person moving into a home from a mobile home, such as a caravan or boat
- A person who needs housing support to access other specialist services in the community, such as gardening, cleaning, financial, health, counselling, substance misuse services; etc
